Role Overview
Los Angeles Apparel is seeking Retail Interns to join our team in Los Angeles. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who are passionate about fashion, retail, and customer experience and want to gain practical exposure to a vertically integrated apparel company. As a Retail Intern, you’ll work closely with our store and HQ teams to support daily store operations, merchandise presentation, and customer engagement—while learning about business strategy from a manufacturing-to-retail perspective.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily store operations, including sales, visual merchandising, restocking, and maintaining store presentation standards.
- Assist in delivering an exceptional in-store experience by engaging with customers, sharing product knowledge, and representing Los Angeles Apparel’s brand values.
- Learn to operate the Shopify POS system and manage transaction flows.
- Support inventory management through organization, counting, replenishment, and new product launches.
- Collaborate with store and HQ teams to support marketing campaigns, visual updates, and special events.
- Gain exposure to retail strategy, customer relationship building, and brand storytelling.
- Uphold store standards during opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications
- Preferably enrolled in school and eligible to receive academic credit.
- Strong affiliation with our brand.
- Strong interest in fashion, retail operations, and brand experience.
- Reliable, organized, and proactive, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must have flexible schedule with the ability to work late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Preferred Qualities
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Prior retail or customer service experience.
- Adaptable and curious, with a desire to learn across various business areas.
