Role Overview

Los Angeles Apparel is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to join our team in SoHo, New York. In this role, you will protect store assets, deter theft, ensure safety compliance, and support a secure shopping environment. This position is ideal for someone who is vigilant, detail-oriented, and team-focused, thriving in a dynamic retail setting with a focus on fashion and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits, sales floor, and high-risk areas using CCTV, patrols, and customer contact to prevent theft and fraud.
• Conduct discreet investigations into suspicious activity, recover merchandise, and document incidents per policy.
• Collaborate with store management and sales associates to maintain visual standards and report safety hazards.
• Enforce company policies, including bag checks and access control, while delivering courteous customer service.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures, and training staff on loss prevention best practices.
• Report all incidents accurately using internal systems and coordinate with local law enforcement when needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in loss prevention, security, or retail operations (experience in fashion retail is a plus).
• Strong observation skills, integrity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Positive attitude, team player, and commitment to a safe environment.
• Flexible availability, with the ability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation

Competitive Base Salary + Monthly Performance Bonus
