Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support our finance team at Los Angeles Apparel. This role is responsible for supporting the AP cycle accurately and efficiently, assisting our Controller and CFO with day-to-day financial operations. The right candidate has hands-on QuickBooks experience, strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and approval prior to payment.
• Support payment runs including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records and documentation.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice status, payment inquiries, and account issues.
• Assist with month-end close processes including AP aging reports and accruals.
• Support the finance team with audits, reporting, and ad hoc requests as needed.
• Perform data entry and maintain accuracy across financial records.
• Weekend availability may be required on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of accounts payable or related finance experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in apparel, manufacturing, or retail is a plus.
• Must be based in the Los Angeles Area.
• Cover letter is not required.
